About Me

Mint Events is owned and managed by me! Contrary to the jokes I hear at most weddings; my name isn't Jennifer Lopez and I don't wear a head set! I'm Laura Larsson and I eat, sleep and breath weddings. I'm extremely lucky to be able to do a job I love and I always feel privileged when invited by couples to help them with their wedding day plans.

I'm also a proud wife to award winning photographer Fredrik Larsson and mother to our beautiful 1 year old boy, Lucas. My office is based next door to my home, which means I get to enjoy spending time with my family, whilst doing the job I love - planning weddings!

I've got over 15 years of industry experience gained initially in London. Mint Events was launched in 2005 when Fredrik and I moved to New Zealand. I didn't plan on running my own business, but I found a huge need for my pedantic organisation skills and attention to small details, within the wedding industry, here in Wanaka and Queenstown. One thing led to another and it's kind of snow balled since then.
