Mint Events is owned and managed by me! Contrary to the jokes I hear at most weddings; my name isn’t Jennifer Lopez and I don’t wear a head set and! I’m Laura Larsson and I eat, sleep and breathe weddings. I’m extremely lucky to be able to do a job I love and I always feel privileged when invited by couples to help them with their wedding day plans.
I’m also a proud wife to award winning photographer Fredrik Larsson, (which obviously has its perks going by the gorgeous images on this site – thanks honey!) and mother to my beautiful baby boy Lucas, soon to be 1 year old. My office is based next door to my home, which means I get to enjoy spending time with my family, whilst doing the job I love – planning weddings! Most of my clients are overseas, so the flexibility of working close to home means I can speak to them outside of usual office hours when needed.
I’ve got over 15 years of industry experience gained initially in London, where I’m from. Mint Events was launched in 2005 when I moved to New Zealand we Fredrik and I moved to New Zealand. I didn’t plan on running my own business, but I found a huge need for my pedantic organisation skills and attention to small details, in the wedding industry and as they say, one thing led to another and it’s kind of snow balled since then.
…..And as the snow ball is now pretty much bigger than what I alone can manage, I’ve recently engaged Charlotte Inglis. Charlotte has previously worked as Functions Manager at Oakridge Pool and Spa Resort in Wanaka and Millbrook in Queenstown, so comes with a wealth of experience. Welcome to the team Charlotte!
